For welding quenched and tempered steels such as ASTM A514 and A517, HY-80, HY-100, T-1, and SSS-100. May be used in any position but most suited for horizontal and downhand welding. X-ray quality weld deposits with excellent low temperature impact properties and tensile strengths up to 112,000 psi. Typical applications would include low alloy castings, pressure vessels, quenched and tempered steels used in many military applications
